Volunteer Spotlight: Beth Wood- An Example of Faith
Beth is a volunteer who has been so faithful to i58. Along with her husband Dwayne Violet, they provide the dumpster used for i58 each month! Beth not only serves with us on First Saturdays, but goes to the church a few times a week to prepare for the feed day by filling up the freezers and fridges full of food! She is passionate about serving the Lord well in this work and sees His provision and blessing on the ministry. Beth, your dedication is inspiring! You’re always there, diligently organizing food donations and making sure everything is ready for distribution day. Your support is invaluable!
“The friends that have been made and the fellowships that have blossomed is beyond measurable. I love everyone and look forward to knowing that I will get to spend a day with them. No matter what I may be going through, my troubles disappear for a while in a day, that is filled with stories of laughter, life events, and the occasional sadness. It reminds me I am not alone. I feel and hope that we all support and lift each other up for a day full of fast-paced, hard work. ” -Beth Wood

Looking Ahead
We are excited to see God blessing our ministry with so many wonderful volunteers who help us share the love of Christ with our community! Dallas area is in the fourth largest percentage of food insecurity in the nation. This gives us an opportunity to meet this need, while sharing the eternal hope that Jesus describes as “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35
