Volunteer Spotlight: Sanchez Family
We are so honored to shine our volunteer spotlight on the incredible Sanchez family—Mario, Sandra, and Elizabeth! This dedicated family has been serving with us for about four years, and their commitment is truly inspiring.
They were introduced to I58 through the CovLivApp and immediately jumped in to help. Since then, they’ve seen firsthand how their service has impacted I58 Ministry. “We have realized how blessed we are and how important it is to go out into the community and serve others that are less fortunate,” they shared. For the Sanchez family, it’s about being representatives of God’s Kingdom and showing the love and compassion of Jesus Christ, all while experiencing the “joy of doing God’s work.”
On a typical serving day, you can find the Sanchez family doing a little bit of everything. They help set up the parking lots to ensure smooth traffic flow, and they are essential in the freezer area, where they sort and pack all the meat, dairy, and bread into family-sized packages. They also make sure every cart is fully loaded and ready to go! They are monumental help ensuring the tear down is also completed each feed day.
Looking to the future, the Sanchez family is committed to helping I58 work even smarter. They want to train more volunteers to make the ministry more efficient, believing that a well-organized process leads to a less stressful and more enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
When asked why others should get involved, their answer is clear: “It’s a great organization that offers help to families in need, regardless of background… and allows us to represent the Kingdom of God, by being the Hands, Feet and Voice of our Lord Jesus Christ.” They also highly recommend it as a place for families to serve together, as it provides an amazing example for children and a feeling of fulfillment for all.
Thank you, Mario, Sandra, and Elizabeth, for your faithful service, your joyful hearts, and for being such a vital part of our I58 family! We run so smoothly because of YOU! Thank you for your consistent investment in us being the best we can be!
