September 2025 Newsletter

Hey Family and Friends,

We hope this email finds you well! We are absolutely bursting with gratitude for God’s amazing faithfulness and for your incredible support this past month. Your prayers, donations, and time spent volunteering allow us to continue sharing essential food and eternal hope with more families every month.

September Distribution Snapshot

On the First Saturday of September, i58 Ministry held its food distribution at 3108 Valley View Ln, Farmers Branch, TX. The impact of your dedication is clear! We want to give a huge shout-out to the 57 volunteers from 10 organizations who came together to serve the community:

  • Families Served: 413
  • Individuals Served: 1,845
  • Pounds of Food Distributed: 51,264
  • New Applications Received: 13

Praise the Lord for His provision! We also recently learned that approximately 14 pallets of canned goods will be collected at the fair and brought back for i58 distribution in October and beyond!

Volunteer Spotlight: Pablo and Lucrecia Pulido

We are so excited to recognize Pablo and Lucrecia Pulido as our September Volunteers of the Month! This wonderful mother-son duo is a great addition to our volunteer base.

  • Lucrecia Pulido has been serving i58 for 8 years, having been introduced through members of her church. She shared that i58 gives her a purpose to serve others, which she has always enjoyed.
  • Lucrecia helps make food boxes and calls people to remind them to pick up their food.
  • Pablo Pulido has been serving for 4 months, introduced through his mom. He helps unload donated food on Thursdays and assists in building and delivering food donation boxes to people’s cars.
  • Both Lucrecia and Pablo help distribute weekly produce every Thursday. Fun fact: Mrs. Pulido even cooks “GREAT Mexican food” for the Thursday volunteers!

Pablo noted that his service has given him an appreciation for organizations like i58, demonstrating how his small actions can make a difference. They both encourage others to get involved, emphasizing that working with i58 means working with people who truly care about others and their community. We are blessed by their tireless dedication!

Enlarging the Tent: New Ministry Opportunities

The Lord has spoken through Isaiah 54 that i58 needs to enlarge the tent, lengthen the cords, and make the stakes strong. We are excited to make lots of elbow room for our growing family!

In addition to welcoming 13 new families this month, we are continuing to expand our reach by continuing our bilingual Bible study. This study, open to all i58 families (children are invited!), will be held at the mission center every Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to connect and grow together. Please pray for hearts to grow to know Jesus and spread the gospel through this new effort.

Support The Mission: How You Can Help

With growth comes increased expenses. Our costs to support families during the upcoming holidays are greater than other months. We also anticipate having to cover the cost of the birthday bags.

We ask that you consider partnering with us through continued monthly support, which helps us serve families in so many ways:

  • $30 provides incontinence care for 3 people.
  • $30 provides diapers for 6 babies.
  • $150 covers birthday bags.
  • $750 covers the ministry center lease.

We are also currently seeking funds to purchase chickens and turkeys to give out in November for Thanksgiving meals. Our board has also requested a small card with a QR code that takes people directly to a video/website/giving button to make giving easier.

Ways to Get Involved:

  • Volunteer your time: Come serve on the first Saturday of each month.
  • Donate funds for food.
  • Spread the word about i58.
  • Pray for our ministry and the families we serve.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those in need.
