i58 Ministry

October 2025 Newsletter

October has been a month of seeing God provide! God doesn’t just meet our needs; He provides for multiplication. The sheer abundance of food, resources, and dedicated volunteers we receive is a reflection of His vision for i58 Ministries—a vision far bigger than our own. This overflow ensures that we are equipped not just to survive, but to expand our reach, care for more families, and demonstrate Christ’s limitless love to every neighbor who walks through our doors. We rest entirely on His faithful, abundant provision.

We were given 358 pounds of peanut butter in our peanut butter campaign! Thank you to all who donated and helped make this incredible campaign possible!

Volunteer Spotlight

Meet Melinda and her granddaughter, Lydia, who shine bright here i58 Ministries! 🌟
Melinda has been pouring out her servant heart at i58 for 10 years, a mission she and her husband Marty got ‘hooked’ on after being introduced by the Dormans at Royal Haven. For Melinda, service is a full commitment—not just on the first Saturday, but all month long in preparing and praying.
Her current role is vital: she has the privilege of preparing and serving lunch to our volunteers every month! Melinda shares, ‘I get to say thanks for being here, and what a blessing they are to the whole operation. The volunteers are a special part of my heart.’
Melinda reminds us that i58 is a community that deeply cares for our clients, but also for the beauty and love of one another. If you have a servant heart, she encourages you to ‘come be part of the feet and hands of Jesus… you will be blessed beyond measure!’
Thank you, Melinda and Lydia, for your dedicated service and for showing us the joy and deep community found in following Christ’s call. We are so grateful! ❤️

September Distribution Snapshot

On the First Saturday of September, i58 Ministry held its food distribution at 3108 Valley View Ln, Farmers Branch, TX. The impact of your dedication is clear! We want to give a huge shout-out to the 60 volunteers from 9 organizations who came together to serve the community:

  • Families Served: 419
  • Individuals Served: 1,924
  • Pounds of Food Distributed: 37,596
  • New Applications Received: 23
We are overflowing with gratitude after our massive collection drive at the October 2025 Texas State Fair Youth Ag Day! Schools across Texas brought their best efforts (and their canned goods!) to get discounted tickets, and the result is truly amazing:
That’s 13,914 POUNDS of food—or 16 full pallets—collected for i58 Ministries!
This haul will stock our shelves and directly support hundreds of families right here in our community through the coming months.
Huge thanks to the North Texas Food Bank for setting up this incredible opportunity and to every student who gave their time, energy, and a helping hand. Your generation is making a difference!

Support The Mission: How You Can Help

With growth comes increased expenses. Our costs to support families during the upcoming holidays are greater than other months. We also anticipate having to cover the cost of the birthday bags.

We ask that you consider partnering with us through continued monthly support, which helps us serve families in so many ways:

  • $30 provides incontinence care for 3 people.
  • $30 provides diapers for 6 babies.
  • $150 covers birthday bags.
  • $750 covers the ministry center lease.

We are also currently seeking funds to purchase chickens and turkeys to give out in November for Thanksgiving meals. Our board has also requested a small card with a QR code that takes people directly to a video/website/giving button to make giving easier.

Ways to Get Involved:

  • Volunteer your time: Come serve on the first Saturday of each month.
  • Donate funds for food.
  • Spread the word about i58.
  • Pray for our ministry and the families we serve.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those in need.
