A Season of Abounding Hope
March is often a month of transition—where the cold of winter begins to give way to the first signs of spring. At i58, we are leaning into that sense of renewal as we reflect on Romans 15:13: ‘May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing.’
As we look at the growing needs in our community, we are reminded that hope isn’t just a feeling; it’s a person. This month, we are celebrating the ‘astounding love’ of Jesus that fuels everything we do—from our Tuesday morning freezer prep to our Thursday shopping days. Whether you are driving through our center or supporting us from afar, we are so grateful you are walking this journey of hope with us.
March by the Numbers
We are blown away by the generosity of all of you! We have a full team of volunteers, prayer warriors, and monthly supporters that directly influence a smooth and effective distribution day! Here is the impact you made this month:
- Pounds of Food Distributed: 40,001 lbs
- Families Served: 438
- Individuals Served: 1976
- The Heart of the Operation: 80 volunteers from 12 different organizations and churches
- Growing the Family: 13 new applications
Volunteer of the Month

Meet Liz Fowler! Since June 2025, Liz has been a cornerstone of our Tuesday and Thursday food distribution team. After wanting to volunteer for years, she finally found her “where” here at i58 through the introduction of Henriette Ellis and Raynette Randall.
For Liz, volunteering did more than just fill her schedule—it filled a void in her life she didn’t even know was there.
“I currently help on Tuesdays and Thursdays… it does not sound like much, but we spend 3-4 hours each day to complete the task. I wanted to fulfill a need to serve that I didn’t know I was missing.”
Liz even brings school-aged children along to help when they’re off school, passing that spirit of service down to the next generation. Thank you, Liz, for your incredible work ethic and your heart for our neighbors!
We are a Team
We look forward to serving with you our next distribution day, Saturday April 11! We will be observing Easter the weekend before and encourage you to have a Blessed Easter Weekend!
We are overwhelmed by the way this community shows up for our neighbors. If you feel led to grow your impact this month, here are three ways to join the mission of i58:
- Pray with Us: We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to “abound in hope.” Please pray for the families we serve—that they would feel seen, known, and loved by God.
- Serve with Us: From freezer prep on Tuesdays to shopping days on Thursdays, our volunteers are the hands and feet of Jesus. We’d love to have you join the team!
- Give with Us: With 1 in 6 Texas households facing food insecurity, your financial gifts allow us to keep our shelves stocked and our doors open. Every gift, large or small, makes a tangible difference.
