June 2025 Newsletter

In June, which is National Hunger Awareness Month, statistics show that hunger and food insecurity remain significant issues in the US and globally. In the US, about one in seven households experienced food insecurity, that means 7.2 million children are food insecure. We are grateful to see God using us to help change these statistics in our community!

We had a very generous donor cover our ministry center lease for May, and this blessing helped us tremendously! When these basic needs are covered we can use our finances to provide more supplies for families in need!

Your partnership is vital to sustaining our initiatives and reaching more needy families. Here are some ways your financial support makes a tangible difference:

$10 provides incontinence care for 24!
$30 provides diapers for 6!
$150 covers birthday bags!
$500 covers ministry center lease!

*Volunteer Spotlight: Leland and Randie Ward*

Meet the incredible duo, Leland and Randie, who have been vital to I58 Ministries for over 10 years! Their journey with I58 began when they were looking for an opportunity to serve alongside their children through Covenant Church. They quickly discovered a profound blessing in helping families in need.
I58 has deeply impacted Leland and Randie, opening their eyes to the significant needs in North Dallas and growing their compassion for those facing financial and nutritional challenges. As they shared, “I58 has made us bolder to go out and encourage others to join in both at an individual level and at a business/corporate level.”
Currently, Leland and Randie are our amazing Produce Coordinators! They skillfully organize and mobilize volunteers each month to sort and bag an astounding 6 pallets of produce for hundreds of families. Their efficiency with our produce is unmatched!
Looking ahead, they hope to increase their financial giving and see I58 expand to offer “work transformation programs” like AI Training and prompt engineering, helping individuals move into the modern workforce.
Leland and Randie encourage everyone to get involved, emphasizing that “through the act of serving, they receive a tremendous blessing themselves.” They highlight the immediate impact you see, the opportunities for personal growth, and the unique chance to serve as a family. This ministry’s impact is prolific, consistently growing and affecting 1,400 to 2,000 individuals with 25,000 to 30,000 pounds of food distributed in just 8 hours every month!
Thank you, Leland and Randie, for your incredible leadership, dedication, and for being such an indispensable part of the I58 family! We couldn’t do it without you! ❤️
